Borrowing
The borrowing period for monograph publications is 4 weeks for ALUO students, ALUO employees and associates, and 2 weeks for other users.
For non-book material, the borrowing period is 1 week.
Library material borrowing can be extended once if it is not reserved.
A member can borrow up to 5 copies of library material to take home.
We do NOT lend:
- basic overview material (may be specially marked)
- transparent monographs of artists (can be specially marked),
- catalogues (small material),
- magazines
- encyclopaedias, dictionaries, lexicons, bibliographies,
- diploma, master’s and doctoral theses (except with the written permission of the author),
- valuable and rare material.
Extension and reservation of materials
The material can be renewed or reserved in person, by phone or by e-mail. To renew or book online (My library) you need a membership card number and a password, which you arrange when visiting the library. We inform the member about the received material by phone, SMS or e-mail.

Reading room
Library visitors should follow the library rules and not disturb the work of others with their behaviour.
As the library is intended primarily for study work, the librarian has the right to prohibit from entering the library, temporarily or permanently, any user who does not follow the library rules.
Use of computers
Computers in the library can only be used by members. Access to the Internet is provided for educational and study purposes.
