Bibliography of Researchers

General

The Library of the Academy of Fine Arts and Design enters bibliographies of researchers in the COBISS system.
The evaluation of the work of researchers is regulated by the Rules on Procedures for (Co) financing, Evaluation and Monitoring of Research Activities at the ARRS … more

The library maintains bibliographies of:

  • ALUO employees who have a researcher code;
  • employed researchers participating in ALUO projects, specifically
  • for the duration of such a project
  • only for project-related material
  • if a researcher comes from another institution where they already have a bibliography, they agree with the project manager at the beginning where their bibliography will be kept during the participation in the ALUO project.

Instructions

To maintain a bibliography, the researcher must submit to the librarian who maintains the bibliography:

  • a physical copy of the material for published printed works (monographs, articles in journals, articles in proceedings, etc.),
  • for publications in electronic form (online) detailed information on the publication with the obligatory indication of a working web link,
  • for completed works and other (unavailable in the library) works (e.g. exhibitions without catalogue, lectures without publication, radio and TV broadcasts) it is necessary to enclose an invitation, announcement, university certificate of guest lecture or list of lectures, program, data on TV contributions, etc.

Please note: if the article was published in a collection, journal or monograph that is not in the ALUO library, a book, journal, catalogue, report or at least a photocopy of the article and the title page of the journal in which it is published must be attached.

The completed Bibliography management form must be submitted with the material.

Among other information, the form must include:

  • typology of the document in accordance with the applicable regulations of the Slovenian Research Agency,
  • content labels in Slovene and English,
  • the exact web address of the publication in the case of electronic publications.

The researcher is responsible for the correct classification of bibliographic units, so they must determine the typology on the form, which must be in accordance with the Typology of documents … more

Bibliography for evaluation of research activity DOES NOT INCLUDE:

  • passwords in encyclopaedias, lexicons etc. containing less than 200 characters,
  • articles in which the authors are only mentioned or only parts of their statements are summarised (not an interview),
  • unpublished materials for consultations, symposia, conferences,
  • application documents for tenders,
  • conference organisation,
  • longer visits to foreign universities,
  • news and announcements published on the websites of the institutions,
  • controversy (e.g. in letters from readers) in newspapers,
  • short accompanying words or excerpts from reviews on book tabs,
  • study programmes,
  • various e-presentations for teaching purposes,
  • awards – as they are not bibliographic units.

All of this belongs to the BIOGRAPHY.

Recommendations

  • Researchers monitor their bibliography on an ongoing basis and report any errors, changes and corrections to the library maintaining their bibliography (e.g. if certain items are missing, if the same bibliographic item is not published or is published twice, etc.).
  • Extracts of bibliographies without scoring are obtained from the COBISS system … more
  • Extracts of bibliographies with scoring are obtained from the SICRIS system … more
  • The adequacy of the classification of bibliographic units in accordance with the current typology and methodology for managing bibliographies in the COBISS system is checked by the Central Specialised Information Centres (OSIC) … more
