1995 diplomira na Fakulteti za Arhitekturo v Ljubljani.
1996 zaključi podiplomski študij industrijskega designa na Domus Academy v Milanu, mentor Alberto Meda.
1997 začne samostojno pot na področju industrijskega oblikovanja.
Od 2005 skupaj s partnerko vodi biro Raketa.
Od 2017 zaposlen na Akademiji za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje v Ljubljani.

Associate Professor Sašo Sedlaček is a new media and conceptual artist with a wide range of media interests, research and discovery in areas where science, society and art intertwine. He is an engaged artist who exhibits his works all over the world and is the recipient of various domestic and foreign awards.

Černe Oven Petra
Petra Černe Oven is a designer, teacher, theoretician and author with a special interest in typography, information design and visual communications design.
Černe Oven received a Typographic Excellence Award from the Type Directors Club of New York, was the recipient of the Most Beautiful Slovene Book award (2011, 2017, 2018) and many other awards. She won the contest for designing the visual identity for the UNESCO event Ljubljana – World Book Capital 2010. She also won several awards for the best-designed Slovenian book (2011, 2017, 2018) and Slovene Designer’s Association awards.
Černe Oven completed her PhD at the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading (UK) in the area of history, typography and language. She became research fellow and worked with professor Paul Stiff on the project “The Optimism of Modernity: Recovering Modern Reasoning in Typography”, for which, among other things, she curated an exhibition on the British artist and typographer Edward Wright and edited the companion book Edward Wright: Readings, Writings (Hyphen Press, 2007).
In 2009, she developed the concept for the international lecture series “Information Design 2009/2010”, which was organized in collaboration with the Slovene Museum of Architecture and Design and the Pekinpah Association. In 2011, she collaborated on an extensive research project on the Slovene designer Miljenko Licul, which culminated in an exhibition at the National Gallery of Slovenia in Ljubljana, for which she edited the accompanying book on the designer.
Since 2010, Černe Oven has teamed up with her colleague, Barbara Predan, to edit the collection entitled 42 (published by the Pekinpah Association), which publishes books on the subject of design theory. Up until now, 20 books have been published in the series. The books are always part of larger projects, seminars, workshops, and exhibitions. In 2012, she and Barbara Predan developed the project “Designing an Agenda, or, How to Avoid Solving Problems That Aren’t” (Pekinpah Association and the Regional Development Agency of the Ljubljana Urban Region), which looked at the fields of service and information design in both theoretical and practical terms. In 2013 they published a scholarly monograph under the same title. In 2014, Černe Oven and Predan were invited to contribute a text to the Information design: research and practice (Routledge 2017). In the same year they finished a project Death in Design (various workshops in 4 countries, book, exhibition) which examines the advantages and disadvantages of a world without death, and offers pointers on how to detect, depict, explain, kill, and survive death.
Černe Oven has also published professional and scholarly articles in Eye magazine, Typography Papers, Baseline, 2+3D, Emzin, Typomag, Hyphen, Oris, Likovne besede and other magazines and academic journals.
Černe Oven is a founding member and a member of the supervisory board of The Brumen Foundation, head of the section for information design of the Pekinpah Association, and co-founder of Institute of Design, a scientific research organization. She is the Slovenian representative and a board member at worldwide Association Typographique Internationale (ATypI).
Černe Oven is a member of several boards of international conferences (International Conference on Typography & Visual Communication, Cyprus, Greece; CIDI: Information Design International Conference, Brazil; Information+ conference, Vancouver, Berlin; ATypI, Antwerpen, Tokio) and regular peer reviewer for scholarly journals (Information Design Journal, Design Principles and Practices Research Network, AR Journal). In 2021 she was a member of the European Design Awards jury.
Under the auspices of various institutions and events in Slovenia, Černe Oven and Predan have hosted over thirty world-renowned experts in the field of design. Černe Oven regularly lectures at symposia and academic conferences at home and abroad. She teaches a course in the history and theory of design at the Department of Visual Communication Design at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana and serves as a Vice-Dean for International Cooperation.

Močnik Ramovš Lucija
Prof. mag. Lucija Močnik Ramovš (MA), is professionally engaged in the conservation and restoration of paintings on canvas, with an emphasis on structural interventions and aesthetic presentation. She is a lecturer in the field of conservation-restoration of paintings at the first and second level of the university study program.

- 1999: completed her studies in restoration with Professor France Kokalj.

In addition to exhibitions at the National Gallery, she designed and led the projects Pogled v restavratorsko delavnico (A Look at the Restoration Workshop) in Restavriranje slik (Restoration of Paintings) by Valentin Metzinger, Conservation and Restoration of Works by Master HGG, Conservation-Restoration of Paintings at the Almanach and 17th Century Painting in Carniola and the Science for Art Symposium.

Grafenauer Petja
Dr Petja Grafenauer je docentka na Katedri za teorijo UL ALUO.
Leta 2000 je diplomirala s temo Tavole parolibere: futuristična slikovna poezija pri Italijanih, Rusih in Slovencih(mentor dr. Lev Menaše) in leta 2010 doktorirala s temo Vzporedna slikarska linija: slovensko slikarstvo razširjenega statusa vizualnega 1926-2009 (mentor dr. Jure Mikuž).
Je specialistka za lokalno in regijsko umetnost po Drugi svetovni vojni, predvsem slikarstvo in sodobno umetnost. Od leta 2012 raziskuje tudi preseke ekonomije in umetnosti. Svoje raziskovanje redno objavlja v znanstvenih, strokovnih in poljudnih medijih. Napisala in uredila je več knjig o vizualni umetnosti, mdr. raziskavo obdobja pop arta v Sloveniji Neuvrščeni pop (2017), knjigo besedil Zdenke Badovinac Avtentični interes (2010) in monografijo slikarja Aleksija Kobala (2008).
Od 2005 do 2016 je bila nosilka modula Zgodovina sodobne umetnosti na Akademiji umetnosti Univerze v Novi Gorici. Med 2016 in 2017 je bila predstojnica Oddelka za fotografijo, VIST, Ljubljana. Leta 2017 se je zaposlila na ALUO.
Med leti 2001-2008 je bila članica Redakcije za kulturo in humanistične vede na Radiu Študent, med 2005 in 2006 urednica redakcije. Med 2006 in 2009 je vodila galerijski program Galerije Ganes Pratt. Med 2009 in 2015 je bila sourednica slovenske revije za vizualno umetnost Likovne besede. Od 2013 do 2014 je bila zaposlena kot kustosinja v Mestni galeriji v MGML v Ljubljani. Med 2015 in 2017 je vodila Galerijo Vodnikove domačije Šiška.
Kurirala je številne razstave, mdr. Neuvrščeni pop (2016–2017), Grafični bienale, z vami vse od 1955 (30. grafični bienale, 2013), Hočemo biti svobodni, kot so bili očetje (2010, z Božidarjem Zrinskim), Nestabilna realnost: 6 opic, 300 kuvert in 1 ljubezen: Nepopolno kot vedno (28. grafični bienale, 2009) in mnoge samostojne razstave, mdr. In 2011, she was the commissioner of the Slovenian Pavilion at the 54th Venice Biennale, in 2014 she was the Commissioner for the Slovenian national team at the Biennial European Ceramic Context 2014, Bornholm Art Museum, Denmark. She participated in the international juries of the Essl Award for CE Europe (2003, 2005, 2007), she was the selector for the first international exhibition in Kosovo Muslim Mulliqi Prize in Prishtina (2003), and in 2007 she was a member of the international jury and chaired the international jury of the Ljubljana Ceramics Triennial several times. Publications, research and academic contribution:
Her research interests include Slovene modernism, postmodernism, contemporary art, art theory and the theory of art historiography. She writes critiques, essays, scientific discussions, accompanying studies in exhibition catalogues. So far, she has had the following books published: Marij Pregelj. Drawing in a Picture (1994), Zdenko Huzjan (2001), Images of Slovenia (2002), Žarko Vrezec (2004), Marij Pregelj. Paintings 1957-1967 (2007, together with J. Denegri) and Studies in Slovene Modernism after 1945 (2010). Along with a group of students, she edited and prepared for publication the book Glossary of Slovenian Art after 1945 (2009). First available in a printed edition, it has been freely available online since 2013 www.pojmovnik.si.
As a long-time head of the Department of Theoretical Sciences at the Academy of Fine Arts, she led a project to prepare for a second-level theoretical study in the field of Theory of Fine Arts and implemented the scientific doctoral study of Art Sciences with her colleagues within the interdisciplinary doctoral study Humanities and Social Sciences. From 2007 to 2012 she was the President of the Expert Commission for Fine Arts of the City of Ljubljana, from 2010 to 2012 the President of the National Matura Commission for the subject Art History, from 2008 to 2012 a member of the Board of the Prešeren Fund, from 2011 to 2018 a member of the Expert Council of the Ljubljana Castle Public Institution. She is a member of the International Association of Art Critics AICA and the Slovenian section of PEN. Since 2009, she has been participating in a research program entitled Theatre and Inter-Art Research at UL AGRFT and since 2020 in a research project entitled Models and Practices of International Cultural Exchange. Movements : Exploring Spatio-Temporal Cultural Dynamics at ALUO, both funded by ARRS – the Slovenian Research Agency.

V času študija se je ukvarjal z interierjem, grafičnem oblikovanjem (izdelal je več knjižnih oprem in promocijska gradiva založb DZS-ja ter Mladinske knjige) in filmsko scenografijo (realiziral je preko 40 scenografij reklamnih in kratkih filmov za domače in tuje produkcijske hiše).

Miklavc Jure
Jure Miklavc je diplomant Akademije za likovno umetnost in oblikovanje in je eden najvidnejših strokovnjakov na področju industrijskega oblikovanja z več kot dvajsetletnimi izkušnjami v praksi. Vodi Studio Miklavc – oblikovalski studio, ki je specializiran za področje industrijskega oblikovanja, vizualnih komunikacij, razvoja blagovnih znamk in svetovanja. Studio uspešno sodeluje z različnimi domačimi in tujimi naročniki s področja gospodarstva, kulture ali javne uprave. V zadnjem času največ razvijajo rešitve na področju zdravstva, osvetlitve, elektronskih naprav, uporabniških vmesnikov, transporta, pohištva in strojegradnje. Še posebej so uspešne rešitve, ki so jih razvijali na področju obutve za tek na smučeh za podjetje Alpina. Ti izdelki zavzemajo tretjinski svetovni tržni delež in so eni izmed globalno najbolj prepoznavnih izdelkov. Studio je v letu 2014 začel sodelovati s svetovno prepoznavnim in uglednim italijanskim podjetjem Bimota, ki izdeluje prestižna motorna kolesa. Oblikujejo tudi za naročnike iz Avstrije, Nemčije in Kalifornije. Posebej odmevne so tudi domače in tuje postavitve razstav, ki jih je zasnoval studio.
Miklavc poučuje na ALUO že od leta 1998, najprej kot zunanji sodelavec in od leta 2001 kot asistent pri izrednem profesorju Janezu Smerdelju. Od leta 2012 vodi svoj seminar in je vodja smeri Industrijsko oblikovanje. Med leti 2015 in 2019 je bil predstojnik Oddelka za Industrijsko in unikatno oblikovanje. Redno tudi predava na Univerzi Hongik na Mednarodni oblikovalski šoli za napredne študije (IDAS) v Seulu v Južni Koreji ter v Berlin international University of Applied Sciences v Nemčiji.
Kot uveljavljeni mednarodni strokovnjak sodeluje v žirijah za najodmevnejše mednarodne nagrade, med drugimi za prestižno nagrado Red dot product design v Essnu, Red dot design concept v Singapurju in Contemporary Good Design v Xiamenu na Kitajskem.
Miklavc je za svoja dela prejel številne mednarodne oblikovalske nagrade in njegovi izdelki so bili razstavljeni na številnih mednarodnih dogodkih in razstavah.
