{"id":23186,"date":"2025-04-17T14:00:32","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T12:00:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aluo.uni-lj.si\/poletne-delavnice\/ajkec-with-a-closer-look-2024\/"},"modified":"2025-04-18T07:11:48","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T05:11:48","slug":"ajkec-with-a-closer-look-2024","status":"publish","type":"poletne-delavnice","link":"https:\/\/www.aluo.uni-lj.si\/en\/poletne-delavnice\/ajkec-with-a-closer-look-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"AJKEC with a closer look 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"40\" data-end=\"131\"><strong data-start=\"44\" data-end=\"131\">Ajkec Under the Microscope 2024: The Impressionist Painting \u2013 A Land of Impressions<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"459\">During this year&#8217;s summer holidays, the <strong data-start=\"173\" data-end=\"243\">Academy of Fine Arts and Design, University of Ljubljana (UL ALUO)<\/strong> invites children to new adventures with <strong data-start=\"284\" data-end=\"293\">Ajkec<\/strong>, a little spider who will help us explore the technology behind Impressionist paintings, the causes of their deterioration, and the work of conservators-restorers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"461\" data-end=\"666\">This week-long <strong data-start=\"476\" data-end=\"520\">art workshop for primary school children<\/strong>, titled <em data-start=\"529\" data-end=\"616\">\u201cAjkec Under the Microscope 2024: The Impressionist Painting \u2013 A Land of Impressions\u201d<\/em>, will take place <strong data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"665\">from July 1 to July 5, 2024<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"673\" data-end=\"688\"><strong data-start=\"677\" data-end=\"688\">HISTORY<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"689\" data-end=\"1177\">Ajkec\u2019s workshops, organized by UL ALUO and led by academic painter and conservator-restorer <strong data-start=\"782\" data-end=\"810\">Prof. Tamara Tr\u010dek Pe\u010dak<\/strong>, in collaboration with professional colleagues and students, have for over two decades introduced generations of children to the world of art. They address questions related to the preservation and longevity of artworks and the role of the conservator-restorer.<br data-start=\"1072\" data-end=\"1075\" \/>Initially held at the National Gallery, in recent years the workshops have taken place at <strong data-start=\"1165\" data-end=\"1176\">UL ALUO<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1209\"><strong data-start=\"1188\" data-end=\"1209\">WORKSHOP SCHEDULE<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1210\" data-end=\"1456\">The 2024 edition will run <strong data-start=\"1236\" data-end=\"1277\">from Monday, July 1 to Friday, July 5<\/strong>, from <strong data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1306\">9:00 AM to 3:00 PM<\/strong>, at the <strong data-start=\"1315\" data-end=\"1374\">UL ALUO Department of Restoration, Toba\u010dna 5, Ljubljana<\/strong>.<br data-start=\"1375\" data-end=\"1378\" \/>Early arrival is possible from 8:30 AM, and children can stay until 3:30 PM.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1458\" data-end=\"1830\">This year, the focus will be on the <strong data-start=\"1494\" data-end=\"1518\">Impressionist period<\/strong>, including a <strong data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1565\">visit to the National Gallery<\/strong> in Ljubljana.<br data-start=\"1579\" data-end=\"1582\" \/>The artworks created by the children will be <strong data-start=\"1627\" data-end=\"1654\">exhibited in early 2025<\/strong> as part of the celebration of the <strong data-start=\"1689\" data-end=\"1730\">25th anniversary of Ajkec&#8217;s workshops<\/strong> (location and date to be announced). After the exhibition, the children can take their work home.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1832\" data-end=\"1997\">Due to the technical nature of the creative process, participants will work on the same piece over several days, so <strong data-start=\"1948\" data-end=\"1994\">attendance on all five days is recommended<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2076\">All materials, tools, aprons, snacks, drinks, and lunch will be <strong data-start=\"2063\" data-end=\"2075\">provided<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2083\" data-end=\"2113\"><strong
