The 17th edition of Tactics&Practice:\u00a0Becoming Image<\/a>,\u00a0Aksioma<\/a>\u2019s discursive programme exploring contemporary investigative art, society and new technologies, that will take place from February to June 2026, in cooperation with\u00a0Kino \u0160i\u0161ka<\/a>\u00a0and Academy of Fine Arts and Design (UL ALUO), examines the recent transformation of digital images from representational surfaces into operational environments. All three workshops in this year\u2019s program will take place at UL ALUO, Toba\u010dna 5.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What does it mean to inhabit a computational world-turned-image? When photographs no longer capture but composite, when renders replace recordings, when machine vision dictates what is permitted, and when synthetic media generates realities untethered from any physical referent \u2013 how do we understand vision, identity and presence?<\/p>\n

The programme investigates how computational photography, machine vision, CGI and generative AI have fundamentally altered the ontological status of the image \u2013 no longer a window onto the world but a world unto itself.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s edition comprises three program sections<\/strong>\u00a0consisting of exhibitions, lectures, workshops, and a symposium.\u00a0UL ALUO particularly recommends all three free workshops<\/strong>, as they will take place at the Video, Animation, and New Media (UL ALUO, Toba\u010dna 5) and are primarily intended for students of art and design.<\/p>\n
