The exhibition Up close<\/a> is accompanied by a rich programme of events FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS in a special space \/ Artist’s Studio called REALLY Close Up, located in the lower rooms of the Moderna galerija.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If just seeing, hearing or feeling is not enough for you, if you want to try various materials and techniques for yourself, breathe in the scents of an artist\u2019s studio, or just rest for a bit and admire what children have created, this is the place for you. There\u2019s a lot going on here.<\/p>\n

\nThe canvas as a carrier of image layers plays an important role in the production of a picture. The preparation of the canvas determines the texture and color of the painting. The ways of preparing painting canvas from the Baroque period to today and important guidelines for choosing and preparing canvas for a painting will be presented.
